A Little About the Center Manager

James Shenfield

A lifelong resident of Washington state, James graduated from the University of Washington in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy. While there, he assisted in astronomical research using computer simulations to study the behavior of planet formation around low mass stars. He also volunteered for the UW Pipeline Program, an outreach program for assisting under-serviced students in the Seattle area as a math tutor, where he discovered his passion for teaching. James joined Best in Class in the fall of 2013 and worked as a math and physics tutor before transitioning to Director of Math Development and Center Manager of the Issaquah, Sammamish, and Issaquah Highlands locations.
